20 days to the Chicago Marathon! And I will spend it by recovering from my 20 miles yesterday. I’m feeling pretty good today. My slightly out-of-whack left shoulder and lower back are feeling better. Also, nothing out of the ordinary in terms of muscle soreness from the run yesterday – little quad soreness, ankle pain and hamstring love, but all good.
After the race yesterday, I went out with my wife and 14-year-old to see Rock of Ages on Broadway. What a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon. It is a very cheesy story, with very cheesy 80’s music, and very cheesy broadway comedy humor, but fun nonetheless. Although I still get uncomfortable being around my daughter when watching something that features so much adult content, and exposed skin with the female characters 🙂
That was topped off by a burger and chocolate peanut butter shake at Five Napkin Burger! Highly recommended…
Then watched some football, and slept 9 hours last night. Feeling pretty well rested today.
Playing softball tonight, then will play tomorrow by ear. Maybe a bike ride in the morning. Gotta figure out how to make the most of the last bits of hard training this week and next.
