4:31:26.
While I missed 4:30, I’m still very satisfied with the run. It was great. I’ll write a full report later. It was close up until mile 23 or so. I had some knee pain and ended up running the last few miles more at 12 pace than 11-11:30, and that was the difference!

I’m really glad to hear that you don’t consider 4:31 a “bust.” NYC is especially hard with the crowds, so I bet that extra minute would come off in another race. Do you have any plans to do another?
Also, congratulations 🙂
Awesome run. You know that 1st Avenue scene well but that was pretty damn cool, wasn’t it…the crowd went on forever.
I’ll probably address it in my race report, but with the exception of the last 3 miles (which is awesome and a real lift when you need it), my favorite crowd sections are in Brooklyn: Lafayette St between miles 8 and 9, North Williamsburg / Greenpoint, and mostly all of 4th Ave. The crowds on 1st Ave are definitely huge, but because the Ave is so wide, they seem far away, and quite frankly, there was less noise than I expected in the area from 59th St through the 60’s.
Congratulations! Can’t wait to read your race report:)
